About Val Dwek
Val Dwek is an artist, teacher and life-long lover of the arts. As a child she sketched the contradictory colors and rhythms of the world around her. Now, Val’s exploration of life integrating the complexities of mood, movement, and color have enabled her to work within several disciplines.
She is a member of the Long Beach Art League in New York, the International Society of Experimental Artists (“ISEA”), ArtCenter Sarasota, Sarasota, Florida and the Artists’ Guild of Anna Maria Island, Holmes Beach, Florida. She has been an Instructor of Decoupage at the Selby Gardens, Instructor of Mixed Media at Long Beach Arts Center, and Instructor of Furniture Painting at The Isabel O’Neil School in New York.
Working between her studios in Florida and New York, Val has exhibited her art work at the Westport Art Show in Westport Connecticut, and at galleries in Southampton, Great Neck, Long Beach, Oyster Bay and Hewlett New York; Wolfboro, New Hampshire; and Anna Maria, Sarasota, and Venice, Florida. She is represented at the Art & More Gallery located in the Island Mail & More Business Center in Holmes, Beach, Florida.
Val does commissions for individuals and for companies like Stark Carpet where many of her decoupage works were displayed in the showcase of the company’s New York home office. To see more of Val’s work or to contact her, visit her website at: www.valdwekART.com.
